Nov. 30, 2014

Please help your children to dress for the weather with warm coats, gloves, boots, etc as the temperature is supposed to be low over the next few days.

Looking ahead: Friday Dec. 12- we are going to handing out flyers for our schools annual Jingle Walk, in which we would like to have a couple of parents to walk with us. Please let us know if you might be interested or available to help. Thank you.

Field Trip and things coming up

Nov. 16, 2014

Dear Parents,

I hope your children enjoyed their field trip to Grouse on Thursday. I am working on uploading a couple of pictures. If there are any other photos taken by parents who went on the day that you wish to send, that would be great. Other photos may also be available to be seen on the blogs of other classroom teachers that went.
A BIG THANK YOU to those that were able to drive, and accompany the students. Much appreciated.

A reminder as we continue experience cooler weather to help your children dress warmly.

Math- we are working on estimating and counting.

Language Arts- we are going to be doing a small unit on Heroes- who they are, what kinds of things make someone a hero. A heads up that later students may be asked to identify someone in their own family that they think might be a hero, if you are able to assist with that.

Thank you.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kam

Field Trip

Nov. 6, 2014

Dear Parents,

Our field trip to Grouse Mountain is quickly approaching.
As of yesterday, we were still in need of at least one more driver if possible.

If you have volunteered to drive, PLEASE make sure as soon as possible (particularly as school is not in session on Monday or Tuesday of next week) that you have all of the correct insurance and volunteer info up to date with our school office, which includes, I believe, an updated criminal records check.

In regards to the inquires that I have received about it being a hot lunch day, rather than cancelling or postponing, we have decided to have children pack a bag lunch as per usual, and the hot lunch will be waiting for them at school when they return from the field trip.

On a side note, scholastic forms came home yesterday dated Nov. 10, but it looks like it will be nov. 12 when they return to school. Thank you.

Thank you.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kam
