A big thank you for a great year and your support for all of your children and our class. I hope you all have a restful and enjoyable summer. Thank you also for the thoughtful gifts.
We look forward to seeing you all in the fall.

Thursday

Dear Parents,

Flowers- As we have Mrs. Martin and also Mrs. Jeffers leaving us at the end of the year, we are asking students if they are able, in addition to some of the other things we are working on, to bring a flower on Thursday June 25 that we will give to each of them sometime during that day.

Thank you.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kam

Next Week

June 16, 2015

Dear Parents,

Year end- next Wednesday June 24 our 4 classes in area B will be heading up to Loutet around 11:00 am for some activities and a picnic lunch. We encourage you to please send your child in comfortable shoes, with a hat, and sunscreen, as well as a lunch.
It would be great to have a parent volunteer. If you are available, please let me know.
Hopefully we will be fortunate enough to have more of this great weather.

Friday June 26 at 1:00 is the grade 7 assembly.
Students have classes until 3:00 pm next Friday.

Library books- please try to get all books in by the end of this week.

Thank you.

June 16, 2015

Dear Parents,

What a unique experience! Picture 2300 people arranged and tightly fit together while a drone roams overhead taking video and photos! Despite the heat, students did their best, and we look forward to seeing some of the results today at our assembly at Sutherland.
Here are a couple of photos as we waited and loaded:

Monday, 8 June 2015

Dear Parents,

Wow! What a beautiful weekend! Hopefully you all got out to do some fun activities.
The forecast looks like more warm weather for the next few days, so please feel free to send your child with extra water and a hat (or even sunscreen on) as they will be out during recess, lunch, and km club time.

Km Club will be finishing up this week, with our last run on Wednesday, and our ribbon ceremony on Friday afternoon.

Sky Art- our school is priviledged to be taking part in a project by artist Rick Harry that spans over 3 mornings. This Friday, June 12, students will be walking up to Sutherland for an opening assembly. On Monday the 15th will be the actual creating and filming of the work, and Tuesday the 16th will be a closing assembly at Sutherland.
As a result, we have also changed our Recognition assembly to 9:30 at Sutherland on June 16. Please Help Your Child To Be On Time for these days.

Spelling this week- review words picked from previous 6 units

Holidays- if you happen to know in advance if you may be leaving school earlier than the last week, please feel free to let us and the office know.

Thank you.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kam

Week of June 1-5, 2015

Dear Parents,

Here we are in June! We are in for another busy month.

Tomorrow is our Family Appreciation Night starting at 6:30. Come on down and share in our ice cream social event!
This Friday is a Brooksbank Professional Day, so school will not be in session for students.
Km Club is continuing this week and next, with our last ribbon ceremony likely being on Friday June 12.
A reminder that if your child has any outstanding library books, or any other materials that have been borrowed from the school to please send those back.

Tennis balls- if anyone has any leftover tennis balls that they would like to donate to the class, they would be gladly welcome.

Hope to see you tomorrow!

Thank you.
Mrs. Kam
