Week of April 25

Dear Parents, 

A few reminders and notes for this week:

1- a new Scholastic order went out today, please have back by Friday April 29

2- this coming Monday is a Pro-d

3- this coming Wednesday is our class and panorama photo 

4- tomorrow morning we say goodbye to our baby chicks as they are collected and move on to another location on Vancouver Island. We have enjoyed having them!

More Chickies!

We are now the proud caretakers of a total of 18 chicks between our 4 classes! As you can imagine, they have been a popular attraction and learning tool. Very exciting for the kids to actually see some of the hatching as it happens. We will have them until early next week.

Week of April 18 An exciting start!

Dear Parents,

As I'm sure many of you know by now, our first chick hatched today, and it looked like 2 others were working on it as I went out the door this afternoon! Very exciting for all of us!

This little guy has now been moved into the bigger bin with food, water, and the heat lamp to keep him warm.

Km Club- is well on it's way, with our first ribbon ceremony coming soon. 

Social Studies- we are talking about different aspects of community; what we see in our community, jobs, meeting people's needs, environmental connections, etc.

Math- we encourage you to practice basic adding and subtracting with your children ( even in a game form) that will assist in increasing their speed and accuracy when responding.

Reminder- May 2 is a District Pro-D and there are no classes in session

               -May 3 is our first Young Actors Project Workshop (in our class)
