Cops For Cancer

Sept. 19

Yesterday we were fortunate to have the riders of the Cops for Cancer come to visit our school. We tied it into raising awareness with our upcoming Terry Fox Run, and recognizing 2 brothers in our school that each had long hair that chose to cut it and donate it.

Fun Day

Dear Parents,
We were fortunate to have fantastic weather today for our annual Fun Day!
We started with meetings in our team colours to learn pur cheers, then headed out for a parade before gathering on the gravel field to present our cheers!

After recess, students moved in teams through various stations, and in the afternoon we met as a whole school for hula hoops, tug o' wars and balloon tossing. a great way to spend the day!

Week of May 14, 2018

Dear Parents,

We hope you have all been enjoying the nice weather! With that, we are reminding students to be sun aware by having a hat or sunscreen as well as water as they are out at recess, lunch, KM Club and Outdoor Learning.

Tomorrow, May 16 , will be our last Loutet Farm visit for the year.

KM Club is moving along nicely and the next ribbon ceremony is just around the corner. Keep up the good work!

Math- I am currently doing some work with money with students, please feel free to continue providing your children with opportunities to count with money using a variety of combinations and make change. Students are also working on data collection and surveys with Mrs. Startup.

A reminder that Monday is Victoria Day and students will not be in attendance.

There will be one more Scholastic order placed for June- I will send the flyers out likely next week to allow enough time for the order to be shipped before the end of the school year.

A June schedule for classroom volunteers will be put into students mailboxes today. Please let us know if something doesn't work for you.

Thank you.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kam
