April 28

Dear Parents,

We are pleased to have awarded all members of the class with their first kilometre club ribbon. Great job everybody! Keep up the good work.

As previously mentioned, we said goodbye to our fluffy little friends today. We were sad to see them go, but feel fortunate enough to help bring them into the world, and see their first steps.

Social Studies- we are starting our unit on symbols and mapping, particularly Canadian symbols, so I encourage you to point some of these things out in your daily activities.

Spelling- thank you for helping your children to have their spelling books for Monday mornings.

Thank you.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kam

Here are a few parting pictures of our last time with the baby chicks. It was a pleasure to have them!

Our Chicks

Dear Parents,

We are thrilled to have welcome several chicks into our open area through last night and into today. Students were fortunate enough to get a look at some of the different stages of the hatching and you can well imagine how excited we all were to see them!
We will have them until next Tuesday, then they will be picked up and relocated to the farm that they came from.

Mrs. Kam
