May 12. Fun Day, etc.

Dear Parents,

Treats for tomorrow- I spoke to students, as well as did Mrs. McKay ( who is organizing) but want to clarify about tomorrow. We are fortunate that although past the deadline, students will be able to get treats IF they have their MONEY and FORM either to me or Mrs. McKay BEFORE school starts tomorrow, as after the second bell would leave her too little time to organize. Thanks in advance.
We are HOPING for dry weather, but please dress accordingly as the forecast is for otherwise.

Edupac forms- school supply order forms for grade 3 went home with students today, and as Mrs. Martin mentioned, the due date was May 11. She asked us to please change that to May 22nd instead.

Scholastic orders- a new order package went home today for June, our last order of the year! I have asked for orders to please be in no later than next Tuesday morning. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Kam

Week of May 11-15

Dear Parents,

Important- unfortunately, the notices for ordering a treat and juice for Wednesday's Fun Day ended up in my mailbox and were thus not handed out in time as the shopping was going to be happening this afternoon. We will figure something out.

Spelling this week- words are double consonant.

Fun Day- as the schedule stated, it will be a regular start time, and a 2:00 dismissal. Please help your child to dress for the weather as the forecast has the possibility of rain. Let's hope for the best!
Look forward to seeing you then!

Thank you.

April 28

Dear Parents,

We are pleased to have awarded all members of the class with their first kilometre club ribbon. Great job everybody! Keep up the good work.

As previously mentioned, we said goodbye to our fluffy little friends today. We were sad to see them go, but feel fortunate enough to help bring them into the world, and see their first steps.

Social Studies- we are starting our unit on symbols and mapping, particularly Canadian symbols, so I encourage you to point some of these things out in your daily activities.

Spelling- thank you for helping your children to have their spelling books for Monday mornings.

Thank you.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kam

Here are a few parting pictures of our last time with the baby chicks. It was a pleasure to have them!

Our Chicks

Dear Parents,

We are thrilled to have welcome several chicks into our open area through last night and into today. Students were fortunate enough to get a look at some of the different stages of the hatching and you can well imagine how excited we all were to see them!
We will have them until next Tuesday, then they will be picked up and relocated to the farm that they came from.
