Week of Jan. 28

Dear Parents,

A few reminders:

1. Tomorrow is a Non-Instructional Day for teachers, and no classes for students

2. As mentioned in last weeks notice, students are invited to wear their PJ's on Tuesday!

3. No spelling this week

4. No Wonder Wednesday as we will be talking about Groundhog Day

5. A heads up that we are approaching the 100th day of school. It will likely fall in the first week of February. Students are usually asked to bring a collection of 100 items.

6. This Wednesday- I was hoping to take the students for an outing to the area above Loutet Park between recess and lunch, but need a couple of parent helpers. I currently have one, but need more. If you are able to help, please contact me ASAP.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kam

December 18

We were fortunate to have Heather Myhre, a staff member in our district, come in to visit and share some oral tradition and stories about the Indegenous Peoples of Canada.

Carol Singing

December 21

Dear Parents,
As we move into the last day before our winter break, we say a big THANK YOU for the lovely cards and gifts and to let you know how proud I am of the students for their singing at the concert on Wednesday night. It was a great team effort to practice and perform.
Katie and I wish you all a safe and happy holiday and look forward to seeing you in 2019!

Sincerely,
Lisa Kam

Week of December 17

Dear Parents,
Here we are at the last week before the holiday break!
And a busy one at that!
First, it was great to see such a high turnout for our Jingle Mingle on Thursday evening! I hope everyone enjoyed themselves.

We will not be having any spelling this week- we will resume after the break.

Concert- we will be having our dress rehearsal on Wednesday afternoon. As previously mentioned, our evening performance will be at 6:00 pm. Students may be dropped off at 5:40. Students are being asked to wear their "holiday best".

Gingerbread House making- Thursday Dec. 20- a reminder that students are to bring in a 250ml (milk) carton to build around as well as a plate to build on, ready to go icing, utensils to spread icing with, and candy to decorate with.

We will also continue with our tradition of carol singing in the open area in the morning this week.

Thank you.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kam
