Dear Parents,
Some things that are upcoming:
1. KISS- Kids Inviting Shelter Support
Yesterday many of the primary classes had a visit from Ann Echols who is part of the KISS project, which involves collection of gently used clothing, shoes, toilettries, etc. Your children are inviting you to participate if you have anything you are able to donate. A letter will be coming home outlining further details.
2. Primary Days of Music- in 2 weeks, many of the classes will be going on a field trip by bus, which our music teacher is helping to organize. A permission form and details will be coming home shortly. It is likely going to be on Tues. May 7, and even though we will be going by bus, we are requesting to have a parent volunteer to come with us. If you are able to, please let me know.
Other updates:
1. KM club- so far, the weather has been fairly good and the children are working hard accumulating their kilometres!
2. Our inquiring minds challenge which was to take place today has been postponed until next
Wednesday.
3. Our next Recognition Assembly is tomorrow at 2:15
As we are now into our third term, we are really promoting student independence, encouraging them to say their goodbyes and remember to bring all necessary materials down to the classroom in the morning (particularly homework bags), and remembering to sign in at the office if they come in late.
