Week of April 9, 2018

Dear Parents,

A few updates:

1. Please continue to help your children dress for weather of all kinds as we seem to be experiencing variations of both wet and warm weather ( sometimes on the same day! such as as yesterday).

2. This weeks spelling focuseson words that begin or end with -sh. If your child is mastering the list, please encourage them to practice generating other words that follow the same pattern.

3.Focus on Reading Week- schoolwide, there will be some classroom activities, as well as in the library, a 3 day booksale and possibly an author visit. More details to come.

4. Talent show auditions will be starting next week.

5. Kilometer Club is now underway, with all primary classes participating. As previously mentioned, Mother Nature rolled in a weather system yesterday as we were preparing to head out for our run, but fortunately it was short- lived and we were able to try again in the afternoon!

6. Book Talk- as we are nearing the final students for Student of the Week, please help your child to be thinking about a book that they can tell us about and hopefully show us. i will be sending home a sheet for students to fill out.

7. Choosing- we have started a new round of stations this week, with many connecting to the life cycle of a chick as we await the arrival some of our own.

Thank you.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kam
